M C A Unbelievable to think of a world without all of the Beastie Boys. Clever, original, funny, effortless… I’ll never forget standing in the crowd at Brixton Academy just before the howl of Sabotage began, the ground opening up in preparation for the start of the song. Probably the most thrilled and scared I’ve ever been, incredible. Images from this performance.
Getting Game ‘Gaming is emerging as an artistic medium that promises to overturn our understanding of how creators and audiences interact.’ A a great article by Jamie Russell inspired by his new book - ordered here. Font Great Shadow from DaFont.

Listening To Bailey I witnessed a great conversation between David Bailey & Andrew Graham Dixon the other night. Defining moment from Bailey… ‘Look, look, look and you will learn to see.’ He said this with John Deakin’s immense photograph behind him - he didn’t want to show any of his photographs…
Meeting Usman We met Usman Haque yesterday, he has a refreshing outlook on pretty much everything, interaction, exploration, people and the reason we do things. Hopefully we are going to be collaborating on a project. This is Open Barble.
/ Another award for The Future Is Medieval, a yellow pencil. A really great achievement - here. I loved the way Brody’s identity evolved all over the different elements.
The Beginning of Skynet R&D is everywhere in the studio at the moment, read.
H (No.3) Is for HELLO from We Are Founded, great work and I love the self created font they use…
H (No.2) Is for Damien Hirst. His retrospective at the Tate has received mixed reviews. And admittedly when you dig under the surface and find rolls of wallpaper on sale for £700 you do roll your eyes a little. However the constant barrage of criticism and cynicism that he faced smacked of serious sour grapes. He’s an incredible British Artist… Two great digital experience accompanied the release, an updated damienhirst.com and an interactive preview by Channel 4 hosted (a little masterstroke) by Noel Fielding, I can’t think of anyone better to take me around… Really great.
